After hemming and hawing and thinking about it. I started one story, but it wasn't going anywhere. Then I opened an older story about a witch standing on a precipice and something clicked. Mostly written, needed some polishing and a little more oomph, and I decided what the hey. Contest was free. It couldn't hurt to try.
So... after sending the story off to my wonderful readers, Barbara, Anita, & Jodie. Thank you darling wonderful ladies for taking a few moments to give me some ruthless critique which I asked for and not holding back. :) I polished it once more and opened up the website.
I entered the story into ARe's contest - Just One Bite.
It's called Dragon's Sacrifice, a m/f paranormal/fantasy romance with dragon elements.
It needs to get past the judges first and into the 32 semifinalists found for judging by YOU on the site from Oct 1 thru 31 for the final prizes. So, keep your fingers crossed it gets that far. I would at least love to get to be one of those lucky 32!! That would be a coo!!
If it gets there, I'll give you the heads up to start voting!!

Another Submission
Gotta keep writing and putting work out there. So, yes indeed. I hit sent on a submission - Unholy Angel - off to another e-publisher. Keeping my fingers cross for hopeful news. It's an interesting little novella full of angels, incubus, Fallen angel, demons, vampires, and weres. A world split into realms - Heathen (the realm of demons, Fallens, Vampires, and weres), Earth, Aequitas (the realm of justice and a special prison), and the Heavens (the realm of the Angels and the Hierarchy Trio who governs all the realms).
Unholy Angel is the story of an Archangel from the Aequitas Realm - Cassiel and the only female incubus known to the world, Kieranna. Can this dark incubus condemned to die find a way to break through preconceived notions to give this Guardian the taste of an incubus's kiss?
In other news, I signed up to write a Christmas story. Soon, a yummy, but overworked celebrity chef named Logan began whispering his story in my ear and dreams about his mishap in a blizzard that ended in a warm delight of passion. But in whose arms will he end up? I'm still finding that out while he finishes his story.

A New Contract with Breathless Press!
As you may notice in the news, I have another sale!!
I noticed on FB from Breathless Press about a Halloween Contest for your best Witch/Demon story due by June 30th. I thought, what the heck, I'll give it a shot. I sent in Sparklers already and had about a week and a half to see what I could whip up for this one. Low and behold the idea started to come to me.
It must be something about these mini deadlines that gets me going. LOL I better get a calendar together and force deadlines on every WiP I want to submit and write them on the calendar with permanent SHARPIE for completing 1st Draft, Edits, Polish, Synopsis, Query, and Submission. And FORCE myself to complete. None of this year long timeframes. I'm talking good turn times. Hmmmm.... Note to self: Buy new weekly planner for Submissions & Mini Sharpies.
Anyway, back to story. The story ended up with a heroine who became a link to my youngest cousin who wanted to be in a story, I started texting her about it. She was overjoyed and popped in ideas. I cringe at the # of texts we ended up sending each other and the bill for the month. She came up with final heroine's name which I love. :)
Wrote, edit an polished the story on the 29th/30th and sent it in that day. And zing zang boom.
