What Happens in Vegas... Blog Hop

After the Supreme Court said YES and ruled for Same-Sex Marriage to have Equal Rights, all LGBTQ writers started picking up plot bunnies.

Shae Connor put up a FB post about Las Vegas and what would happen once Sin City offered same sex marriage certificates. A bunch of other writers, including me, added in their opinions and this special blog hop was born. Shae went further and every story on the hop would highlight a LGBTQ charity.

Tremors are a part of everyday life in big Alaska.

An almost fatal tumble down a mountain ends Devin Chevalier's professional mountain biking career and brings him to a crossroads. Learning his grandfather is ill, he makes a rash decision. Uprooting his life for a chance to meet Daniel, he crosses paths with a brash Alaskan.

Alaska throws them another surprise in the form of a huge earthquake. Differences put aside while they struggle to survive.

I chose a prompt created by Gillian with this picture:

Dear Author,

What you see is more than mere ink. Any tattoo has the power that comes from significance, but none have what ours do— the ability to grant power. He gave us the first of our marks when he claimed us as his Heartless, you see. Betrayed by love and left to die by the ones we most trusted— but still unwilling to die.

It’s a strange life, if ‘life’ is the right term. We walk in the dark, see what humans do not see, and wield awesome powers, protecting humans from what they do not even know exists. It’s not without its perks, of course. We are allowed pleasure, companionship and wealth. There is only one rule, and that easily kept. We know the anguish of heartache too well. Why fall in love?

No, my problem is more— peculiar. One of my tattoos has gone— missing. It seems to have transferred itself to the charming young man who entertained me last night. An absolutely unheard of event. I would find it fascinating— if it wasn’t happening to me. Now I have to find him before he attracts unwanted attention with his new powers and find a way to get my tattoo back.

Looking for the man who tried to poison Samuel Ashford is high on his priority list for Sheriff Robin Burke, who hopes his quiet seaside town returns to normal. With a bit of free time, he hopes to work out his non-existent love life.

Returning from London after a six-month trip, Beau Courtenay finds his troubled half-brother invades his home and privacy. Knowing he left his half-brother in a special facility, Beau wonders what chaos his brother created. An offer to renovate the entire Southern Charm systems and security is sent to him and he finds the B&B is going through an entire upgrade. Putting his brother’s issues on the back-burner, he goes to the Charm to work. Hearing others discuss the poisoning case of his new client, Samuel Ashford, Beau listens with half an ear. During his investigation of the systems, he discovers a case of hacking from the outside to destroy the online books and clients' private information. He suggests calling in the sheriff's unit, but didn't expect the Sheriff to take on the case himself and giving him personal attention.

What happens when the Sheriff connects the potential suspect of Samuel’s case to the handsome IT guy with the delicious British accent and tight ass? Will Beau be able to chose protecting his brother or following the law?
